Kindly, Either Way
Slow down. Open something good.
There is something quietly radical about sending a letter.
In a world that moves fast and loud, choosing to slow down, to write something by hand, to seal an envelope, to trust something good to the mail feels like a small act of resistance. A little declaration that some things are still worth doing the unhurried way.
That is what Kindly, Either Way is built on.
-
Kindly, Either Way is a monthly mail club rooted in the Sonoran Desert, made by hand, and sent with intention. Each month a small, carefully assembled envelope lands in your mailbox — not your inbox — full of things chosen thoughtfully, just for you.
It is part love letter, part art, part curiosity. It is the kind of thing you open slowly, with a cup of something warm, when you have a moment that belongs entirely to you.
-
A handwritten letter A real letter. Written by hand, sealed with care. Each month I will share what is on my mind, what the desert looks like right now, what I have been thinking about, reading, or sitting with. The kind of writing that does not belong on a screen.
An original photo print A photograph from my own archive — shot on film or digital, pulled from the Sonoran Desert or wherever the light has taken me that month. Something worth framing, tucking into a book, or pinning to a wall. Each print is chosen to reflect the mood of the month.
Things I am loving or trying A curated little list of what has captured my attention — a recipe I made three times, a book I keep recommending, a product I discovered, a place I visited, a song I had on repeat. Real things I actually love, shared the way a good friend would share them.
A surprise Something small and unexpected. It changes every month. It might make you smile, make you think, or make you want to do something kind for someone else. That is all I will say.
-
I have spent a long time making things with my hands: photographs, stitched goods, objects meant to be held and kept. Kindly, Either Way is an extension of that. It is a way to reach through the mail and leave something real in your hands.
It is also, quietly, about kindness. The name is a small reminder that we can choose it, kindly, either way, regardless of what the day brings. Each envelope is made with that in mind.
